Our curriculum is rooted in Christ. At The Cedar School, devotion to God is not confined to a single subject or reduced to information alone. Learning flows from relationship with Jesus and attentiveness to the Holy Spirit. Every subject is taught in light of Christ—His truth, His presence, and His purposes—so that students grow not only in knowledge, but in wisdom, discernment, and obedience. Scripture grounds our learning, prayer shapes it, and intimacy with the Lord gives it life, forming students who know Him, walk with Him, and live faithfully in every sphere of life.
Our teaching approach is rooted in the classical tradition and is carefully aligned with each stage of a child’s God given intellectual development. This progression follows the trivium—grammar, dialectic, and rhetoric—guiding students to acquire foundational knowledge, develop logical reasoning, and communicate ideas with clarity and precision. Instruction emphasizes disciplined thinking, mastery of content, and the pursuit of truth, with academic study rooted in Christ and shaped by Scripture and the living work of the Holy Spirit.
Teachers provide instruction on campus two days a week and guide learning at home through daily assignments completed with parental involvement. This approach offers academic structure while honoring parents as their child’s primary influence. Because life—and learning—are best done in community, we intentionally walk alongside families, offering support, encouragement, and partnership every step of the way.
The Cedar School serves homeschool families in South Florida seeking strong academic structure and guided support through the classical model of education. We partner with parents to provide a Christ-centered community that strengthens families as they grow academically, spiritually, and relationally.
