Partner With Us in Your Child’s Education

Choosing a school is a sacred decision. At the Cedar School, we view education as a partnership between families and faculty—rooted in biblical truth, relational discipleship, and academic excellence. Our enrollment process is designed to ensure alignment in vision, values, and commitment as we walk together in raising students firmly rooted in Christ.

Enrollment & Application Process

Step One: Attend an Information Meeting

Our Information Meetings are held throughout the school year and serve as the first step toward enrollment. These gatherings allow families to learn about The Cedar School’s mission, academic model, spiritual foundations, and expectations for partnership.

Stay up to date with our event dates or contact us to see upcoming meeting dates. Please email us for more information at oliviabishop@cedarschoolflorida.com.

Step Two: Submit an Application

After attending an Information Meeting, families may request an application. Once submitted, a $100 non-refundable application fee is required to complete the process.

Step Three: Family Interview & Student Assessment

Once applications are received, our admissions team will:

  • Contact family references
  • Schedule a family interview (approximately one hour)

During this time, we:

  • Get to know your family’s heart, values, and educational goals
  • Answer remaining questions
  • Conduct a reading and math assessment for applying students

These assessments help us understand learning readiness and placement, but they are only one part of the discernment process.

Step Four: Admissions Decision

Within 2–3 weeks of the interview, families will receive an admissions decision via email.

Step Five: Enrollment Confirmation

Accepted families will:

  • Sign the Parent Partnership Agreement
  • Affirm alignment with Cedar School’s Statement of Faith
  • Submit a $500 non-refundable registration fee per student to secure enrollment

Step Six: Complete Enrollment Paperwork & Tuition Setup

Families will complete required school documentation, including:

  • Medical and emergency information
  • Authorized pick-up forms
  • Tuition payment selection or scholarship documentation

Step Seven: Order Supplies & Uniforms

Families will receive detailed information regarding:

  • School uniforms
  • Required books and supplies
  • Optional curriculum packages

Step Eight: Attend Parent Partnership Training

Parent Partnership Training is a mandatory component of enrollment and helps ensure alignment, clarity, and a successful school year. These sessions are typically held in late summer before the academic year begins.

The Cedar School functions as a Christ-centered classical academy designed to serve homeschool families. Parents maintain homeschool status while partnering with the school for academic instruction, discipleship, community, and enrichment. This model allows families to receive structured, high-quality education while remaining actively involved in their child’s formation.

Grade levels and age ranges vary by year and program offerings. Specific grade availability is shared during Information Meetings and throughout the admissions process.

We intentionally keep small class sizes to prioritize relational discipleship, individualized instruction, and meaningful mentorship. This allows teachers to know each student personally—academically, spiritually, and relationally.

Our curriculum is rooted in:

  • Classical education principles
  • A biblical worldview
  • Academic excellence

Subjects such as language arts, math, science, and history are taught through the lens of Scripture, while also emphasizing critical thinking, creativity, and wisdom.

Yes. The Cedar School is unapologetically Christ-centered. Jesus Christ is the cornerstone of everything we do. All families are asked to affirm our Statement of Faith and commit to walking in alignment with our biblical values and community culture.

Yes. We believe education is most effective when families and educators partner together. Parents are expected to:

  • Attend required meetings and trainings
  • Support their child’s learning and discipleship
  • Engage in the life of the school community

This partnership creates consistency, trust, and spiritual alignment.

Yes. Worship, prayer, and biblical discussion are woven into daily rhythms. Students are encouraged to grow in spiritual discernment, biblical understanding, and personal relationship with Jesus—always age-appropriate and guided by mature leadership.

We prayerfully consider:

  • Family alignment with our mission and beliefs
  • Student readiness and learning needs
  • Willingness to engage in community and discipleship

Our goal is mutual discernment—ensuring The Cedar School is the right fit for both the family and the school.
